We just finished working the Belk Charity Sale and getting ready to start putting together items for our seniors. Let’s work together and supply the needs of as many nursing home residents as possible. We work primarily with residents with no family members. A key part of this program is not just the gifts but visiting and showing the resident that they are loved.

Silver Stocking Project
Many elders in nursing homes and retirement centers are often forgotten during the holidays. Imagine being alone and without a gift during the holiday season? The Silver Stocking Project is a grassroots, community-based project that delivers gifts to our elders who are without friends and family.
The Silver Stocking Project is working with Villager Voice Magazine to increase the number of elders we are able to serve each year.
The number of elders served in Forsyth and Davie County increased from 138 in 2005 to over 600 in 2009.
Stuffing Gift Bags
Today we are working on stuffing the gift bags for the Lutheran Home and Silas Creek Manor.
Need Socks
There’s still time to drop off items for the Silver Stocking. Donation boxes are located at BB&T and Red Door in Clemmons. We need more socks for both men and women.
